Surkhet – With the aim of accelerating preparations and ensuring a well-organized approach for the upcoming 10th National Games, Minister for Education and Sports, Sasmit Pokharel, held discussions in Surkhet with the Chief Minister and the Minister for Social Development of Karnali Province.
The discussions focused on the construction of sports infrastructure, management, and other essential preparations within Karnali Province, which is set to host the 10th National Games.
During the meeting held in Surkhet, Minister for Education and Sports Pokharel, Chief Minister of Karnali Province Mangal Bahadur Shahi, and Minister for Social Development Jeet Bahadur Malla discussed matters such as the coordination required between the federal and provincial governments to ensure the tournament is a grand and historic success, as well as the status of infrastructure.
During the discussion, Minister Pokharel stated that the Ministry is collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure the competition is concluded on schedule. He further pledged the Federal Government’s full support for the development and management of sports infrastructure in Karnali Province.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Shahi and Minister for Social Development Malla noted that the Provincial Government is fully committed to the success of the 10th National Games, adding that the necessary preparations have reached their final stages.
Minister Pokharel is currently visiting Surkhet for preparations for the 10th National Games, inspection of infrastructure, and coordination with stakeholders.
